There's probably a lot of shouting and your child may even be aggressive – perhaps hitting you, the furniture or siblings. In fact, – from breakfast to bedtime – is a battle some days. If this sounds familiar, we can help!
Who is it for?
Level 4 Individualized Triple P is a very thorough and individualized behavior modification approach. Strategies taught can be used for prevention and/or management of behavioral problems. It is recommended for two different types of parenting situations. The first is for parents of children with significant or multiple behavioral difficulties that are often displayed in more than one setting – for example at home, school, sport clubs or with friends. Second, it is also for motivated parents interested in gaining a more in-depth understanding of positive parenting and desire to have one on one sessions. It is available for parents with at least one child between birth to 12 years of age.
~~How Level 4 - Individualized plan works?
Usually consists of seven one on one sessions and three telephone support calls over a period of two to three months (Sessions may decrease based on parent/guardian pace). The first six sessions help parents understand Triple P strategies through observation, discussion, practice and feedback. Each session lasts for up to two hours depending on your personal pace. Training is very interactive and utilizes several approaches to ensure parents fully grasp the positive parenting strategies. Parents will also receive the Every Parent's Group Workbook, which outlines each session and allows you to record your progress. After the initial four - six sessions, parents have around three weeks to practice the strategies at home. During this time parents receive three personal support phone calls from their parent coach. These calls are a chance to review any strategies the parent may be having difficulties with. There is also a final face to face session for review and to evaluate progress.
Level 4 Individualized Triple P gives you the support to help you manage your child's behavior and prevent the kinds of problems that make your family life stressful.
